Teen Court

The Harford County Teen Court Program is a voluntary diversion program used to resolve misdemeanor offenses for youths 11-17 without requiring intervention by the Department of Juvenile Services. Youth who successfully complete the program avoid a juvenile record for their offense while focusing on accountability and development.

Tabitha's House

There are many serving opportunities available at  Tabitha’s House. Whether you are looking for a few days each week, or just a few hours….we would love for you to join us. We offer a friendly, positive work environment, while doing the work we have all been called to do.

Boys and Girls Club

We believe that volunteers play a valuable role in transforming the lives of our Club members.  As little as one hour per week can make a positive impact on a child’s life.  Each Club offers opportunities to work directly with youth as mentors, tutors, sports referees and coaches, and teachers of games such as chess, pool, scrabble-or possibly ballroom dancing.  If you have a special talent you’d like to share, just let us know.  The time of greatest need for volunteers is during the middle-to-late afternoon hours during the school year.

The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region

The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region (The Arc NCR) empowers people with differing abilities to live, work and participate in the community. The Arc NCR offers services in Harford and Cecil Counties. Volunteers play a large part in providing these services, and opportunities are available for both individuals and groups.

Harford County Public Library

Libraries in Harford County have a rich history of volunteer support that dates back before the 1946 tax-supported Public Library Law. Groups in the incorporated towns and in other locales saw the importance of a library and gave their time to make it happen. Even though the way libraries provide service has changed dramatically over the years, the need for volunteer support has not. Library volunteers are involved in almost every aspect of library service. Volunteers who donate their time and talents provide the support necessary to maintain and extend quality library service.

Education and/or skills needed for volunteer opportunities vary. All volunteers will receive appropriate training to complete their volunteer assignments. To help ensure a successful volunteer placement, each volunteer is assigned a supervisor. Volunteer opportunities vary from branch to branch.
