Humane Society

Our volunteers are an integral part of our organization and help in many
roles including dog walking, cat socialization, event support, maintenance,
fundraising, and transport to name just a few.

Our long term volunteers are asked to commit to at least 5 hours of service
per month for a minimum of 6 months due to the training involved.  Our
animals benefit the most when supported by well trained, regular volunteers.
Volunteers must be at least 12 years old and accompanied by a parent or
legal guardian (who has also attended training) until the age of 18.

We always accept applications from interested people, and once approved they
will attend an orientation and complete training in the roles they are
interested in helping with.  Sometimes there will be a delay before space
becomes available in orientation if we have a large number of applicants.

Applications can be obtained by contacting either
Rebecca@harfordshelter.org or volunteer@harfordshelter.org
