Circulation Aide

Volunteers assist with behind the scenes tasks such as sorting, shelving and withdrawing library materials, helping with mail delivery and locating materials on the shelves.

Friends of Harford County Public Library

Nonprofit volunteer citizen groups that enrich the resources of the library by sponsoring book sales, fundraising and programing.

Partners in Reading

Trained volunteers visit elementary schools weekly to work one-on-one, or in small groups, to enhance students' reading skills. 

Program Aide

Volunteers help professional library staff present programs and storyhours for children and adult book discussions. 

Public Computer Assistant

Volunteers with computer experience are needed on an ongoing basis to help train the public on various computer functions/applications.

Summer Reading Program

Volunteers entering Grade 6 and up can assist the children’s services department with the Summer Reading Program. Sign up for this program begins in May.
